Meet Our Founder
Eva Liu, Founder and Principal Consultant of Origami Impact, is a strategist, facilitator, and thought partner dedicated to helping mission-driven leaders and organizations thrive.
Eva brings deep experience across philanthropy, consulting, and finance. Before founding Origami Impact, she served as the founding Chief Strategy and Operations Officer at Chicago Beyond, where she led strategy, operations, and marketing, and helped deploy more than $50 million into community-led initiatives. Earlier in her career, Eva was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company and advised nonprofit healthcare systems on capital access as an investment banker at Barclays.
Born and raised in Chicago’s Chinatown, Eva is a first-generation college graduate and passionate advocate for financial inclusion and equity. She serves on the board of Project: VISION and on the Illinois Advisory Board for Mikva Challenge.
Eva graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with an A.B. in Government and a minor in Economics, and earned her MBA with honors from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
